There are so many dirt roads in the Bishop area that
you just might spend the rest of your life riding them
all! With a map and a little bit of stamina, anyone
can enjoy some of the finest riding on the planet. Sweeping
vistas of the Owens Valley and the surrounding mountains
will greet the adventurous traveler.
Mountain Biking is one of the most popular adventures
in the Eastern Sierra and this region is so vast, many
choose to bike and camp. Combining a bike adventure
with a remote camping experience may be just what you
are looking for!
Maybe you are just starting out. There are many trails
near the Owens River where you can practice bike handling
skills prior to heading out on the longer rides.
The serious rider can head for Silver Canyon, Coyote
Flat or Lower Rock Creek.
This then is the real challenge — deciding
where to go.
