Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center
This is the update for Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I am suffering from moderate to severe "post -Olympic depression". Yes, the very thought of not having Olympic triumphs to watch each evening has thrown me into a tailspin. There's only one cure for this malaise: Skiing. That's right: two hours on my skate skis and I'm as right as rain. I highly recommend this cure to everybody, as I'm surely not the only one to suffer such ills. And the added benefit of burning calories is not doing me any harm! All of our trails are open and groomed, so get back to it everyone!
Here are the events to look forward to:
March 28th - The 3rd Annual Mammoth Biathlon - skiing and shooting, what could be more fun?! The registration form will be available on the ESNSA website sometime this week.
April 4th - The Mammoth Marathon - 26 and 13 mile options. Come to Tamarack to sign up.
April 11th - Tour de Taste - Great food and drink in the best setting in the world. No better way to spend your day!
All soft goods in our sport shop are 30% off. This includes all jackets, gloves, hats, socks...you get the picture.
Our snowcat driver/groomer extraordinaire, Jeremy DeCell returns from Vancouver tomorrow. We look forward to hearing his Olympic tales.
If you need to brush up on your skiing skills, now would be a good time to schedule a private lesson to prepare for competition. All of our lessons are in operation, with beginner lessons at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm and skate lessons at noon each day. Call us at 760-934-2442, extension 8 to sign up. We also have private lessons with Olympian Nancy Fiddler or with our other talented instructors. Our Avalanche and Glider programs for the kids are in full swing.
